Much of the Houston area sits on clay soil that swells when it gets wet and shrinks when it dries. That movement is hard on flat concrete. Weak ground prep, poor slope, and missing joints are common reasons older driveways and patios crack, sink, or hold water.
Good concrete starts under the surface. We plan the slope so water runs away from your house, prepare the ground, and place control joints so cracks follow straight lines instead of wandering. Then we pour, finish, and give the slab time to cure.

How much does concrete work cost in Houston?
Cost depends on the size of the slab, how thick it needs to be, the finish, how easy the site is to reach, and whether old concrete has to come out first. Stamped concrete costs more than a plain finish. We give you a free written estimate after we see the site.
Will my new concrete crack?
Any concrete can crack, and Houston clay makes it more likely. The goal is to control it. Solid ground prep, the right slope, and control joints help keep cracks small and in straight lines, so they stay cosmetic.
How soon can I walk or drive on new concrete?
In general, light foot traffic is fine after a day or two, and cars should wait about a week. Concrete keeps getting stronger for weeks after the pour. Heat and rain change the timing, so we give you dates for your job.
Should I choose stamped concrete or pavers?
Both can look great. Stamped concrete is one solid surface with a pattern pressed in. Pavers are separate pieces that can be lifted and reset if the ground moves. Compare them on our stamped concrete and paver installation pages.
Do I need a permit for a concrete driveway?
Some concrete work may need a permit, like a driveway that connects to the street. Rules differ from city to city, and many neighborhoods also have HOA rules. We talk through permits and HOA approval during your estimate.
